Let’s talk about my absolute favorite Disney dining experience of all time, Palo. Out of all the food I have eaten at the Disney Parks and on a Disney Cruise, nothing compares to the top-notch service and delicious dishes served at Palo. And while this meal is an additional cost and isn’t included in your price of the cruise, in my opinion, it is well worth the splurge.

Prices will vary, but for our brunch in 2024, it was around $50 per person. I will be writing another blog about our experience, but just know that you get so much food during your time here, and honestly, it’s quite a deal.
My husband and I have dined at Palo twice for brunch on our past Disney Cruise vacations. We don’t get a lot of date nights in our daily lives, so we were looking for a way to sneak in some time on both the Wish and the Dream.
This is an absolute perfect place to create some romantic memories on a Disney cruise. The restaurant is intimate, and it really feels like a private dining experience with gorgeous views of your destination.

There is a slight catch to this fine dining experience that seems to always be a question on Facebook groups for Disney cruisers…what do you wear?
Disney does have a dress code for their dining rotations, but it’s very mild. You basically just can’t show up in your swimwear for your dinner. You can check out their guidelines here. However, for Palo, it is quite different. I have an entire video on their dress code, as it can be rather confusing.
So I thought I would just create some outfits that were easy, on theme, and dress code approved to help you plan for your special day/night out!
Palo Brunch Outfits
The brunch is slightly more relaxed than dinner at Palo. We would still recommend getting dressed up, as it’s a really fun way to add to the excitement of your day. One of the many perks of a Disney Cruise is the theming, and Palo gives subtle touches of a beloved character from Beauty and the Beast, Cogsworth.

On the Disney Wish, you’ll actually enter the restaurant through The Rose, an elegant Beauty and the Beast themed bar. So, Lauren and I wanted to create an outfit that brings together beautiful blues while making another character from the movie the center of attention, Chip! The dress is so cute and comfortable that you can keep it on the rest of the day and grab some cute photos around the ship.

If skirts are more your style, then this outfit is for you. We are seeing a comeback trend of one shoulder tops. I am sure my millennial girls remember wearing these tops back in the day! The skirt is perfect if you’re on a tropical destination and would look beautiful for photos against the ocean backdrop.
We also wanted to add some subtle touches of Disney characters with the earrings and purse if you’re like us and always want to theme your outfits! You’ll notice we have some heels for the shoe options. We know that packing an extra pair of shoes just for one occasion isn’t ideal on a trip, but Palo is very strict about their shoe dress code. So, we would rather be safe than sorry!

Speaking of shoes, one of the biggest dress code violations comes from mens’ shoes. We hear a lot in different Facebook groups that people who attempt to show up for brunch or dinner in tennis shoes are often denied entry. This can be very disappointing, as you don’t want your shoes to stand in the way of your delicious meal.
Our goal with this outfit was to give an option that’s casual enough for anyone who isn’t into dressing up, but also looks chic and appropriate for your date. The shoes are such a great option and could easily be re-worn after the cruise!
Palo Dinner Outfits
Dinner at Palo is a bit more polished. We’ve never dined here for dinner, as we loved the brunch menu so much that we wanted to experience it again on the Wish for our second cruise. But, we’ve done a bit of research and discovered that this is a night you dress to impress.

Once again, we channeled Beauty and the Beast vibes with nods to the star of the restaurant, Cogsworth. We went with more dark and rich colors to make it a little more romantic.

And, if you want to coordinate with your boo, we have you covered. The maroon and black colors compliment the dress so well. If your significant other is into theming, you can find a hidden Mickey in the watch, as well as the socks!
If you enjoy these outfits, but would like something a little more personalized to your style and needs, you can head to our customized services to book an outfit planning session with us. We’d be happy to plan outfits for any part of your Disney vacation!
And remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile.
