Festival of the Arts is by far my favorite Epcot Festival at Walt Disney World. It’s highly interactive, has delicious food, and it’s colorful. Last year, my family was able to attend for the first time, and we made the most magical memories.

If you aren’t familiar with Disney, Epcot hosts festivals throughout the year, which bring in specialty food and entertainment. These seasonal events and Festival of the Arts is the first festival of the new year and usually starts around mid-January and runs through February. The 2025 dates are January 17th - February 24th.

The best part about these festivals is that they are included in your regular base ticket price. So, if your trip happens to fall within these dates and Epcot is on your list, you’ll be able to enjoy all of these offerings without having to purchase a separate ticket like you would for an after-hours party!

One of the main reasons I love Festival of the Arts is the fashion. Seeing how people show their love of color and art through their clothes is an activity within itself. So, Lauren and I thought we would create some outfits in case you are headed there this year!

If you’re looking for more customized options, you can always check out our outfit planning services. The outfits you’ll see are a mixture of items you can get quickly and some of our most-loved small shops!

What I Wore

Rainbow themed outfit for Disney's Festival of the Arts with a Kermit purse, red beret, rainbow cardigan and black skirt

This was my first official Festival of the Arts visit. We had just missed it in previous years, arriving too early for the full offerings to begin. My kids were with me, so I wanted to make sure I was comfortable. I found this rainbow cardigan from Target on clearance and knew it would be perfect for our trip.

The forecast took a chilly turn, so I ended up adding some fleece tights and figured a beret would be ideal to keep warm and on theme! I already owned the Kermit crossbody, and this skort is my go-to for every trip. Since the Kermit crossbody is no longer available, I paired it with our multi-color Mickey backpack. The bracelets are from one of our favorite small shops, Say Like Yay!

Color Your Imagination Outfit

Bright and colorful outfit for Disney's Festival of the Arts with bright tie dye ears and headband, metallic purple skirt, and disney themed t-shirt

If you’re looking to embrace the bold and colorful aesthetic of this festival, this outfit is for you. We adore this shirt from Lake Buena Visitors and wanted to match its unique design. There are a lot of our favorite small shops included in this look. The earrings, from Great Big Bag O’ Trinkets, and purse, from Sew Minnie Style, can be worn outside of the Festival of the Arts season, as they theme to Epcot in general.

We discovered the ears from a shop on Etsy called Little Piece of Magic, and our go-to for headbands is always 1953 Designs. We added a denim jacket because you never know what the weather is going to be like during the winter months in Florida. It’s always great to have a layer on hand!

A Pastel Princess

We know not everyone loves bold and bright, so we created two outfits for our pastel twirly girlies. It’s not hard to see that rainbows were still a theme within this look, and this necklace from Fintastic Configuration is simply meant to be for the festival. The ears are from Minnie Castle, which are subtle, yet give just enough color to tie in the other accessories. And, I actually own the rainbow Mickey crossbody, and it can hold a lot of your theme park necessities for your entire day.

Lost Pastel Princess

While we were styling the dress above, we were suddenly inspired by Lauren’s favorite princess, Rapunzel. Even though she’s not officially represented in Epcot, we like to consider her an official artist. Her paintings are simply beautiful in the movie, so consider this our official petition for Punzie to start visiting Festival of the Arts!

Casual Artist

Comfort is always a priority for me when I am at the parks. This outfit was created for someone who wants to blend cozy and comfort with an artist’s touch. Again, a sweater might not be an option for your trip depending on the weather, but there are plenty of rainbow stripe tees available on Amazon if you need to switch it out at the last second. Add your favorite denim from your closet, and you’re good to go.

Outfit Ideas for Kids

Toddler and youth girl outfits for Disney's Festival of the Arts with rainbow dress, rainbow shirts and bright colored Disney accessories.

Festival of the Arts is an absolute masterpiece made for kids. 😉 There are so many interactive features that kids young or old will thoroughly enjoy. However, it IS an art festival, and creating art is a big part of your day, so dressing comfortably is necessary. From painting to chalk art, there is so much for you and your littles to do. Things can get messy, so these items are meant to be budget-friendly, just in case of an art accident. The outfit on the left has toddler sizing, and the outfit on the right is youth sizing. The purple ears in the middle will work for both outfits.

If your kiddo isn’t into rainbows and bright colors, we’ve found a few options that still tie in Festival of the Arts without being too bright. The shirt on the right is from Polka Dot Pixie, who has so many great options to choose from! And yes, we added more layers, just in case you need them at the last second like I did!

We’d love to hear your thoughts if you happen to attend this festival! I think you’ll find it to be full of joy and excitement. Hopefully, we’ve helped take one more thing off of your plate before your vacation.

And remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
