As my favorite Epcot festival comes to an end, Flower and Garden Festival will soon begin. This event highlights Disney’s Imagineers team of horticulturists, welders, artists, and architectural engineers who create stunning topiaries of your favorite Disney characters and more.

Of course, you can also find specialty outdoor kitchen food booths, scavenger hunts, concerts and merchandise. My personal favorite part of this festival is the violet lemonade.
This year’s festival runs from March 5th - June 2nd, and like all Epcot festivals, you don’t need a separate ticket to enjoy all that it has to offer. Of course, there are extras that are an additional cost like food and drinks, but most of the activities are included with your purchase of a base park ticket.

So let’s get down to why you’re here; what do you wear to the Flower and Garden Festival? The possibilities are endless. If you’re a fan of spring and florals, this is the event for you! We wanted to create some looks that incorporate florals with some characters and themes maybe you don’t think about for Epcot, but will work perfectly for your day.
Winnie the Pooh
When I think of Disney movies with spring themes, I think of Winnie the Pooh. This theme is ideal for Flower and Garden, as it includes flowers, bees, and of course, honey. We love gingham for spring, and this maxi dress is perfect for a spring day at the parks.

And don't forget to head to the U.K. Pavilion to see this Silly 'Ol Bear. Winnie the Pooh meets guests for photos near the rose garden. When you enter the garden head to the back and make a right. He will be waiting for you inside!

Spike the Bee
Orange Bird usually gets a lot of love during this season, but let’s not forget another adorable flying friend, Spike the Bee! He pops up quite a bit during the Flower and Garden festival, including on a scavenger hunt throughout Epcot.

Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is very similar to Figment’s Brush with the Masters, and it is an extra purchase, but we think it’s well worth the buzz. There isn’t a ton of Spike apparel out there, but WhimsicalWondEARS comes through with these adorable ears, and one of our faves, PineapplePixieDustCo,
has you covered on earrings.
Janice from The Muppets
Another fun outfit theme to bring to the Flower and Garden Festival is Flower Power with 60’s and 70’s vibes. And who better than Janice from The Muppets to help tie together peace, love, and flowers?

You could really run wild with a hippie style theme here, but since my love runs deep for The Muppets, I wanted to make sure they were represented well here. Janice items are nearly impossible to find, so we got creative with adding items that do her justice. The only bummer is that the hat isn’t available anymore, but we will link some denim bucket hats below! If you wear this look, make sure to find the Kermit and Miss Piggy topiaries for a photo.

Te Fiti/Moana
In my opinion, Te Fiti is one of the most visually stunning characters in Disney animation. And lucky for us, you can find her in Epcot! Inside the Journey of Water, you can take your photo with a smaller version of this goddess.

There are a lot of ways you can style a Te Fiti look, and we love her green exterior, but we wanted to create a look that would make you stand out in the photo as opposed to blending into the backdrop. The pinks and corals compliment the green so well and tie in the Flower and Garden festival theme perfectly. This mini backpack is no longer available, but we will link some options below that will work with this dress.

Butterfly Kisses at Midnight
One of the main attractions of the Flower and Garden Festival is the butterfly garden. Located near Journey into Imagination and Living with the Land, you can explore an array of flowers, plants, and see some fluttering friends.

For this look, we thought we would include a princess that is celebrating her 75th birthday, Cinderella. In the 2015 live action adaptation (my favorite live action remake of all time), butterflies can be seen throughout the film and on her dress. Y2K accessories and styling are making a comeback, so we played into our teenage dreams for this look. Cropped oversized shirts and skirts are also trendy for this spring, and you can find me living in this comfy combo all season long!

We have so many more outfit ideas floating around our heads for this festival. If you’d like us to create a custom outfit for you, head on over to our custom services page. Lauren and I would be happy to plan the perfect outfit for Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival that is centered around your style, sizing and interests!

Until then, remember, theme park fashion doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to make you smile!
